Little by little, we are getting some very interesting fragments of information on Patch 4.3, which will be the last major content patch of the Cataclysm expansion. Makes sense, because it would be the third series of new raid content, which is aligned with Wrath of the Lich King (although LK had four).
Void storage is a new feature that is long overdue, giving us more storage options for all that gear taking up bank slots. This will tie hand in hand with transmogrification, which allows players to change the appearance of their armor based on gear they own/possess.
Although it hasn’t officially been announced, my assumption is that you WILL have to own the gear in order to change the appearance. So, if you want that old school tier gear, time to get farming! NOTE: It has now been announced that you do indeed have to own the gear before being able to change appearance.
Here is what we know so far about Patch 4.3:
- Final major content patch
- Will contain the Deathwing raid
- Three (3) new 5-man dungeons
- Void Storage, allowing players to store armor and novelty items
- Transmogrification, will change appearance of armor and retain stats
- Threat to be heavily increased for tanks…equals no more threat concerns for heals/dps.
- New Darkmoon Faire Island for fun games and rewards.
- Heirlooms and Old Gear available from Darkmoon Faire.
- No new battlegrounds for Patch 4.3
